The SHS Book Club will have the first meeting for our SECOND book read during lunch in the library today, Thursday, Dec. 5. Even if students haven't joined book club yet, they are welcome to join now and read with us!

 

 

Attention anyone interested in playing High School Baseball for this upcoming spring, there will be a mandatory players meeting in the commons after school today, Thursday Dec. 5th, at 3:30.

 

Any student interested in helping backstage or with tech for the winter one acts should sign up in Mrs. Meyer's room.



Ceramics club will be making ornaments this Friday. Come to the Ceramics room at 2:05 to paint and build your own ornament!

 

 

Are you interested in a career such as Nursing, Engineering, Automotive or Ag Technology, maybe in the Construction field?   Better yet, if your degree were 100% free.   If you answered yes, it’s time to start thinking about a degree from one of your state’s Technical Colleges.   The “Build Dakota” road show will be making a stop in Spearfish on the afternoon of Tuesday Dec. 10th. during Spartan Time M4 in the Theater.   Spearfish students who are 10th, 11th, and 12th. Grade are invited to attend. The road show will give you more information on not only the technical field jobs available with a degree but will also discuss in detail how to become eligible for this scholarship an on how to get your degree at no cost to you.

 

 

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test will be administered on December 12th during 3rd & 4th blocks for those interested in exploring career paths in the military or gaining valuable insights into their strengths and potential career opportunities.  Students must sign up in the Counseling Office by December 10th.    The first 30 students (10th - 12th grade) will be offered a lunch catered by the Qdoba and the National Guard on the day of the test.   Please see Mrs. Murphy if you have questions.
