About us

SHS counselors are certified professional educators who assist students, teachers, parents, and administrators. They provide assistance to students through four primary interventions: individual counseling , large group guidance, consultation, and coordination. Counselors utilize the American School Counselor Associations (ASCA) National Standards for School Counseling. These standards focus on the developmental needs of all students in three major areas: academic development, career development, and personal/social development.
