Prom

 

 

The library will be closed today, Thursday, April 18 for testing.

 

 

The doors will be open for Grand March at 7:00pm April 20th. Pictures can be taken from 7-7:45, after that no pictures will be taken. Dance starts at 9:00 in commons. After the dance you will change then head straight to post prom. You must physically have your student ID when you enter for grand march. Absolutely no IDs will be printed on Friday. Get yours before that. There is no cost for Prom due to the fact that the Juniors did an awesome job raising money.

 

There will practices for anyone attending the West River Math Contest in Mr. Spear's room over lunch every Tuesday and Thursday until the contest. We will be looking at practice tests and learning strategies."

 

 

The spring play Radium Girls will be performed tonight Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19 at 7:00 PM in the high school auditorium. Radium girls is based on the true story of Grace Fryer and her friends who were factory workers poisoned by radium in the early 20th century. Tickets are $3 for students, $5 for adults, and activities passes are accepted. Come and support the hard work of SHS drama students!

 

 

 

The Spearfish Fine Arts Boosters are hosting their annual Gala Awards ceremony on Thursday, April 25th in the SHS Gymnasium. This year's theme is "Black Tie Gala". Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for parents/guests and complimentary for SHS Fine Arts students. The night honors the accomplishments of SHS Fine Arts students in the areas of music, theatre, visual arts, speech/debate, language arts and journalism. Students will be presented with letters in their respective fields, teachers will announce special recognition awards and FAB will announce their scholarship award winners. Electronic invitations will be emailed to students being honored and their parents.

 

 

Need help with your homework? National Honor Society peer tutors are available in the library on White day mornings and during study hall. Sign up or just drop by anytime. Contact Mrs. Ligtenberg with any questions.
