📸 SHS Students Named Finalists in Statewide Art Contest

Four Spearfish High School Digital Photography students have been named finalists in the South Dakota Parks & Wildlife Foundation’s "Youth Visions and Voices" Art Contest.

Congratulations to Bennett Kortan, Abbigail Hegge, Taycee Ziegler, and Johan Gomez Andino for their outstanding work capturing South Dakota's natural beauty.

✨ The Showcase Event:
The students will travel to Rapid City for a special recognition event at the Journey Museum on May 8th. As finalists, they have already earned a South Dakota State Park Pass and travel assistance to attend the showcase.

🏆 Grand Prize Details:
The overall winner will be announced during the May 8th ceremony. This year, to celebrate the Foundation's 40th anniversary, the grand prize includes:

  • $500 Scheels Gift Card 💳

  • $100 Go Outdoors SD Gift Card 🦌

  • Outdoor Gear Package 🎒
